Welcome Everyone!

Thank you for your interest in SAMUN 2024! We're so excited to have you join us for our very first Model United Nations conference. SAMUN is hosted by SuOn Academy, an ESL-specialized private school located in Toronto, Ontario. SAMUN 2024 is staffed by both SuOn Academy students and our partner students in Montreal. This year, we'll be offering committees for students of all ages, and we are primarily focused on providing a learning experience for students completely new to Model United Nations.

We are proud to announce that SAMUN will be Canada's first Multilingual Model UN Conference, offering committees in three languages; Canadian English, Canadian French, and Mandarin Chinese. Due to the rarity of Model UN committees that run in French or Chinese (not just in Canada but abroad), our students have spent months translating and developing a unique set of rules of procedure that accurately reflects East Coast-style Model UN in these languages. Eventually, SAMUN aims to become the world's first high school Model UN conference to run committees in all 6 official United Nations languages.
